12 Years Hosting the WRU Official Members Club

For the twelfth consecutive year, I have the privilege of hosting the WRU Official Members Club. It started as a matchday job. It became something I measure my life by.
Welsh rugby has always been about more than results. It is about belonging, loyalty, and showing up season after season, through the highs and the hard days.
Over twelve years I have watched families grow up inside this club. Children have become adults, and now those same people bring their own kids along, including me, with my son Thomas. That continuity is the thing you cannot manufacture. You can only earn it, one match at a time.
What actually happens before kick-off
The match is the headline. The Members Club is everything around it. A proper Welsh welcome from a male voice choir. Live interviews with international players, up close, where you hear the game from the people who have lived it. Premium hospitality, a room full of people who genuinely know each other, and the legendary raffle that has become its own tradition.
The moments that stay with you
The interviews are where the magic sits. Shane Williams on the emotional weight of his final try for Wales. Tom Shanklin’s sharp humour before Wales met Fiji. Josh Adams with the members the week before he ran out at the Principality. These are not soundbites. They are the reason people come back.
